  Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification
Means that we can confirm that our timber is sourced from well-managed and sustainable sources. For timber to be certified FSC it has to have a chain of custody back to the forest, be sourced from a legal and sustainable resource and meet a number of social, economic and ethnic requirements.
     
  Programme For Endorsement of Forest Certification (FSC)
The PEFC Council is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, founded in 1999, which promotes sustainable managed forests through independent third party certification. The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests.
     
  Secure By Design (SBD)
Scheme administered by the Association of Chief Police Officers, Our windows are audited by the British Standards Institute (BSI), tested to BS7950 security test and BS 6375 wind, water & Operation. Our doors are audited by TRADA to PAS 24 Security and PAS23 wind, water & operation. Most new contracts are built under this scheme and therefore the Windows and Doors supplied must comply. Customers will be confident that our Windows and Doors are secure.
     
  Kitemark (BS 7950)
This scheme is run by the British Standards Institute (BSI), it is the badge of quality. It ensures our windows are manufactured to the same high standard as the window tested. The BSI audit us twice a year to ensure we conform to their strict guidelines. The BS 7950 is for security.
     
  Kitemark (BS 644)
This scheme is run by the British Standards Institute (BSI), it is the badge of quality. It ensures our windows are manufactured to the same high standard as the window tested. The BSI audit us twice a year to ensure we conform to their strict guidelines. The BS 644 is tested in accordance with BS6375, wind, water and operation of a window.
     
 

BM TRADA Quality Mark Scheme
This scheme is administrated by BM TRADA, it is the badge of quality. It ensures our doors are manufactured to the same high standard as the doors tested. TRADA audit us to ensure our doors conform to their strict guidelines, PAS 23 wind, water & operation and PAS 24 Security.

     
  Energy Savings Trust
All energy rated windows of 'C' and above that Boyland Joinery Limited design; manufacture and install are recommended by the Energy Savings Trust.
     
 

British Fenestration Rating Council
High thermal performance of timber windows has a great effect on long-term energy costs. We are one of a few joinery companies who have achieved an 'A rated' window and have continued to design windows with the best performance without the need to use expensive and unattractive triple glazed units.

     
  FENSA
Self-Auditing Installation Scheme. Only applies to domestic replacement, not required if you have Building Regulations. Installers must ensure windows comply with Building Regulations, Escape, Ventilation, and Thermal Performance. Also we have to offer insurance back guarantees through a third party. We are to register the installation with FENSA so the house owner receives a certificate of compliance.
     
  FairTrades
Governing Body approved by the government to ensure we are a tried and trusted company c hecking our financial status, ensuring we are authorised to operate Insurance Backed Guarantees, Insured Deposit Schemes, and our level of workmanship surpasses their set criteria.
     
  Timber Window Accreditation Scheme (TWA Scheme)
Accreditation Scheme set up by the British Wood working Federation (BWF) and audited by the British Standard Institute (BSI)). Members must ensure that their timber is purchased from sustainable sources, they offer robust guarantees and their window test results are higher than that of the Building regulations.
     
  Wood Window Alliance (WWA)
This is a scheme made up of high performance manufactures of timber windows, The strict criteria of membership with windows having UKAS approved test data and FSC timber means you can be confident of receiving a high quality window, with robust Guarantees, and Environmental credentials.
     
 

British Wood working Federation (BWF)
Trade Body ensuring we operate within the Code of Conduct, giving Fair Pay & Contract Terms to our Employee's, ensuring our Heath and Safety & Environmental Policies are robust, and ensuring we are up to date with all the latest Employment and Building Regulations.

     
  Constructionline
This Governing Body is set up to assist Housing Associations and other large construction companies approve contractors. They record and monitor, the companies financial status to ensure we can fund the project, monitor references, ensure our H&S and Environmental Credentials are robust.
