impact and Carbon Footprint to its minimum, by conserving
resources and continually improving our environmental performance
as an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy
and operating methods.
It is our priority to encourage our customers, suppliers
and all business associates to do the same. Not
only is this sound commercial sense for all; it is also
a matter of delivering on our duty of care towards future
generations.
In particular Boyland will:
Promote environmental awareness among our employees
and encourage them to work in an environmentally responsible
manner.
Inform them though monthly meetings of the policy and
changes, assisting them to implement the relevant aspects
into their day-to-day operations.
Integrate the consideration of environmental concerns
and impacts into all of our decision-making and activities,
Promote efficient use of materials and resources throughout
our facility including water, electricity, raw materials
and other resources, particularly those that are non-renewable,
Minimise our waste and then reuse or recycle as much of
it as possible.
Ensure all the timber purchased is purchased through regulated
sustainable sources, specifying FSC/PEFC Chain of custody
as appropriate.
Purchase and use environmentally responsible products
accordingly
Operate and maintain company vehicles with due regard
to environmental issues as far as reasonably practical
and encourage the use of alternative means of transport
and car sharing as appropriate.
Assess the environmental impact of any new processes or
products we intend to introduce in advance.
